The Land of Acreo has been plunged into war.

Algon and his friends journey north in search of allies, hoping to save what remains of their homeland — only to discover that those they trusted have suffered the same devastating fate.

Grieving their losses and facing the destruction of everything they know, they are forced into an unthinkable decision: seek help from their long-standing enemies in the East.

If they cannot stop the forces of Gadreel from claiming the Tree of Life, their world may fall forever.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Zoe du Toit is an 18-year-old emerging author and illustrator from the Free State. She lives with her mother, father, sister, grandmother and a lively collection of animals.

Zoe has always had a deep love for books, films and audiobooks, which sparked her passion for storytelling from a young age. She began writing The Land of Acreo at just 11 years old, marking the start of a creative journey she continues to grow today. She hopes to keep expanding the world of Acreo in future stories.

Since the age of 16, Zoe has already illustrated books for well-known names in the industry — a lovely early sign of her dedication, creative talent and the bright path ahead of her.

When she is not writing or illustrating, Zoe enjoys music, horse riding, rock climbing, ice skating, roller skating and, of course, reading.
