Lullabies CD Strikes a Happy Note for the Red Cross Children’s Hospital Renowned South African singer Lize Beekman will be donating all artist proceeds from her latest CD release Lullabies to the Red Cross Children’s Hospital. a The emotive CD includes soundtracks in English, Afrikaans, Xhosa, and a selection of instrumental lullabies. Lize Beekman was inspired to write lullabies that were easy enough for moms to sing along to. The recording utilised instrumentation that would have a calming and peaceful effect on babies and children. Lize’s decision to help the only remaining dedicated children’s hospital in sub-Saharan Africa was an easy one. “It was clear to me from the very start that I should donate the funds raised from the CD to the Red Cross Children’s Hospital. The Hospital cares for thousands of children every year, irrespective of parent’s income, race, gender, religion, or place of residence and in this way the CD will impact children on a deeper level,” says Lize Beekman The production of this unique initiative was made possible by corporate sponsorship from Baba & Kleuter magazine and Baby City ensuring that 100% of the artist profits would go directly to the Hospital. “Everyone who purchases a Lize Beekman Lullabies CD will not only be able to enjoy the beautiful music but can derive extra pleasure from the fact that they have contributed to the success of a very special hospital,” says Helen Schoer, Editor of Baba & Kleuter and co-sponsor of the project.
